Quick Tips on Bling for Instagram Stories
Looking for Instagram Stories ideas? Want to boost your engagement? Not sure how to use all of the bells and whistles?
You’re in the right place! This is a three-part crash course on all things Instagram Stories, how you can build a better community around your brand, and maybe even capture a few leads along the way!
Musts
On most of your Instagram Stories posts, tag the location and the people you’re with. Why?
- Because I’m nosey! And a lot of other people are too. We all just want to know where we can get those delicious waffles you posted at brunch.
- When you tag others, they get notified and there’s a HUGE button that asks them if they want to reshare. We want all the reshares we can get because now their audience is yours. It’s key to audience building on Instagram.
- Tagging the location gives context to what you’re doing and with who. If I don’t have volume on, will I know where you are?
Engagers
- GIFS: I LOVE GIFs! There are so many ways you can add them to your Instagram Stories to make them more interesting. They add movement to static images, context to what you’re doing, and are eye catching.
- Emoji Slider Sticker: When you’re thinking through your instagram story ideas, think about adding an emoji slider to amp up your engagement. They’re easy, one-touch stickers to get your audience involved in your posts! It’s a great way to get your audience’s opinion on anything from real estate to sunsets. Pro Tip: Turn the slider on its side, type in options, and create a poll with multiple answers!
- Music: Who doesn’t like a little music? As we know from movie scores and commercials, music can make a visual 10x better! Using a song that’s trending, a classic, or one that just fits the scenario, if your audience has their volume on, your IG story will resonate more.
- Boomerang: They still exist and I still love them! It’s a quick motion that makes your audience pay more attention to what you’re showing off in your Instagram Stories.
- Countdown: Have an exciting announcement? Or an open house coming up? Tease your audience on what’s to come by using the countdown sticker. Instagram also gives you the option to post when your countdown is done to celebrate!
- Photo Layout: Did you know you can create a collage in Instagram stories without using another app? Expand the options on the side of your IG stories and see the “Layout” option. From there, you can edit how many pictures you want to include in the collage. You can take new photos or import photos from your phone! Great for adding multiple photos of listings without tons of individual stories.
Final Tips
All of these tools are right at your fingertips on Instagram! Captivate your audience by giving them easy and fun prompts to interact with you on a daily basis. Remember, all of this is to stay top of mind! Not everything needs to be real estate related, but all about you and your brand story!
