Use Instagram Stories to Generate Leads From Your SOI!
Stories are a great way of telling a brand story for real estate professionals, but they are also great lead gen magnets! If you are using allll the other Instagram stickers we’ve talked about in Shine on Instagram Part 1 and Part 2, these lead gen questions will seem not-so-salesy and in line with your normal content. Remember, lead gen is about starting conversations and Instagram Stories are the perfect way to open the door.
POLLS
I like using Instagram polls on a more regular basis because it’s a super easy, single-click, engagement. They can be divisive, fun, and show off what you’re up to. For example: “What shoes should I wear?”, “Do you believe in ghosts?”, “Beach or mountains?”. Ease your audience into engaging with your content. Not all posts need to be real estate related.
Mix in some real estate questions that can open more conversations…
“Modern or traditional”

QUESTIONS
Questions are great because they are open-ended, leaving room for you to continue conversations privately in DMs or repost and answer publicly. Keep them broad so more people can participate!
“What are you looking forward to today?”
“I’m traveling to New York soon! What do you recommend I see?”
My BIGGEST tip for utilizing the Questions sticker is to have a weekly/monthly AMA (Ask Me Anything). Become the real estate expert for your audience. Show that you are an open book and if they have any questions around real estate or the process, they are free to ask. With the Questions sticker, all the questions will be on the backend for you to see. You can choose to share each question and answer it with another Story. So not only does that person get their question answered, your audience gets to see you in action too! If it is a more personal question, you always have the option to direct message that person and have a conversation in private.
QUIZZES
The Quiz sticker is a great way to educate and get a pulse on where some of your followers might be when it comes to home buying or selling. I recommend always sharing out educational content when you can.
You can go general and quiz on house styles or what national day it is.
You can show you’re the local expert and quiz your audience on city history, the best burger in town, or what community event is coming up.
To open up a conversation about real estate, quiz your audience on average DOM, what’s the first step when buying/selling (answer: call me- your Realtor), and other questions that pertain to the real estate process.
The great thing about using IG Stickers is that anyone who engages will be able to be seen on the backend by you. So make sure you take the time within 24 hours to look back and start conversations with those who engage with you, even if it’s just a double-tap like. Keep an eye on those who are regularly engaging with you and make sure you show the same love back.
*Pro Tip*
Add the highly engaged and those who you feel like are closer to talking to you about real estate in your close friends group on Instagram. Share with them some professional and personal stories every week. The little green circle around the story will make them feel seen👍
